3 People Hurt in Lubbock Auto Accident on 3800 Northeast Loop 289
LUBBOCK, TX (January 13, 2024) – Thursday morning, Jessie Tijerina and two others sustained injuries in a crash on 3800 Northeast Loop 289.
The incident happened at around 8:36 a.m. in the 3800 block of Northeast Loop 289.
According to the LPD’s Major Crash Unit, an SUV traveling southeast on the Loop veered right and lost control for still unknown reasons. Then, the SUV rolled across the access road and finally came to rest on its roof.
Moreover, responders transported the driver, 21-year-old Tijerina with serious injuries, 20-year-old Meziah-Brianne Merma with moderate injuries, and a two-year-old child with moderate injuries, to UMC for treatment.
At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
