Jessica Kimmel Killed in Anacortes Car Accident on Highway 20
Anacortes, WA (February 04, 2021) – On Tuesday, 28-year-old Jessica Kimmel of Oak Harbor lost her life in a deadly vehicle crash on Highway 20.
The fatal Anacortes crash took place at about 4 p.m., near Tibbles Lane.
Reports said Kimmel was driving south when she did not stop for a vehicle that was stopped in front of her.
That vehicle in front of her was also stopped behind another vehicle, waiting to turn onto Tibbles Lane.
Kimmel attempted to avoid the stopped vehicles, but she still rear-ended the vehicle in front of her. Subsequently, her vehicle spun into oncoming traffic where she struck the cab of a semi-truck.
Unfortunately, she died at the scene.
The vehicle Kimmel rear-ended also struck the vehicle stopped in front of it.
Authorities gave no further details regarding the deadly Highway 20 accident.
