53-Year-Old Selma Man Fatally Injured in Boating Accident near Highway 99
TULARE COUNTY, CA (July 1, 2018) – A man was killed Sunday afternoon following a boat crash near Highway 99. 53-year-old Jesse Moya, of Selma, was later identified as the victim in this tragic incident.
As per reports, two boats collided shortly after 4:30 PM. The impact of the collision caused one of the boats involved to sink. Events leading to the deadly crash were not immediately available.
Moya, a passenger in one of the boats, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. An unidentified driver was airlifted to Clovis Community Medical Center with unspecified injuries. No other injuries were reported by the authorities.

Based on witness statements and evidence found at the scene, the case will be submitted to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office for review of possible criminal charges. However, it was not disclosed who was being investigated. Investigators are also trying to determine whether alcohol was involved in the crash.
