Driver and Passenger Injured in Cholame Deadly Collision
Cholame, CA (June 1, 2023) – At approximately 7:14 p.m. on Tuesday, Jesse Moore, a 31-year-old Gilroy man sustained fatal injuries following a 2-vehicle collision on Highway 41.
California Highway Patrol officials of Templeton said a 37-year-old Hanford woman was driving a Ford Explorer with a passenger. They were eastbound approaching the Highway 41 Interchange at the Y, at an unknown speed.
At the same time, a car driven by Moore was westbound on Highway 46 approaching the Highway 41 Interchange at the Y, also at an unknown speed.
Investigating officers said the Ford Explorer driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic and drove directly into the path of Moore’s car.
The Ford Explorer’s driver and her passenger incurred minor injuries.
Moore, on the other hand, was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later declared dead.
CHP stated that impairment is not suspected at this time; though, the 2-vehicle collision on Highway 41 is still under investigation.
