Jesse M. Ortiz Dies After Crash on Midvale Park Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (June 20, 2024) – On Tuesday, 41-year-old Jesse M. Ortiz died after a Chevrolet Silverado struck his car on Tucson’s southwest side.

Ortiz was driving his Chevrolet GMT400 south on Midvale Park Road and attempting to turn left onto eastbound Argyle Avenue when the Silverado, heading north on Midvale Park Road, collided with him. 

Ortiz died at the scene. The 19-year-old driver of the Silverado was taken to Banner University Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Tucson Police determined that the Silverado’s driver was impaired at the time of the crash. 

The investigation is ongoing.
