Jessalyn Greer Airlifted, Solomon Cooper and Saleh Aldoussari Injured in Crash on Highway 195 [Steptoe, WA]

3 Injured in Steptoe Hit-and-Run Car Accident on Highway 195

 
STEPTOE, WA (June 17, 2020) – Early Sunday afternoon, Jessalyn Greer was airlifted after a crash on Highway 195 near Steptoe.
 
The incident happened on June 14 at 2:45 p.m. on the new 3-lane section of Highway 195 near Ralph Road outside Thornton.
 
According to troopers, a Ford Focus with five occupants stopped at the shoulder. However, a white Toyota Camry or Honda Civic type vehicle’s driver tried to drove past the Focus that had pulled off the shoulder. As the other vehicle pass, the white sedan hit the Focus. As a result, the Focus overturned off the highway.
 
The impact ejected several passengers who sustained serious injuries. A helicopter flew 24-year-old Jessalyn Greer of Spokane to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane. Luckily, she’s now in stable condition.
 
Meanwhile, a Rosalia ambulance crew transported 25-year-old Soloman Cooper of Pullman and 24-year-old Saleh Aldoussari of Moscow to the hospital.
 
Upon treatment at the hospital, all three of them were later released.
 
According to the troopers, the hit-and-run vehicle should have some silver paint transfer on the driver’s side.
 
Moreover, the police encourage anyone who witnessed the crash or has any information about this incident to call the Washington State Patrol office in Colfax at 509-397-3600.
 
Due to the incident, the authorities shut down the highway for around half an hour. Meanwhile, the Whitman County Fire District 7 Volunteers out of Rosalia and District 11 Volunteers from Steptoe all came to the crash scene. The Whitman County Sheriff’s Deputies also helped.
