Driver Jeri Trejo-Tellez Dies in Collision on Indiana Avenue [Lubbock, TX]

Lubbock, TX (December 14, 2024) –  51-year-old Jeri Trejo-Tellez was killed in a vehicle collision on  Indiana Avenue Friday morning.

The fatal traffic accident happened around 6 a.m. near Baylor Street.

Troopers said Jeri Trejo-Tellez was traveling south in the 300 block area when the vehicle swerved left. The vehicle drove over a curb and struck a wooden fence and a residence at the 3300 block of Baylor Street.

Sadly, Trejo-Tellez was declared dead at the crash scene. 

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old passenger sustained minor injuries and was taken by EMS to University Medical Center.

The authorities are investigating the collision.
