Driver Arrested and Passenger Hospitalized after Car Crashes into Pole near 2nd Avenue

 
VICTORVILLE, CA (April 30, 2019) – Authorities arrested 28-year-old Jeremy Hernandez of Apple Valley following a suspected DUI Crash near 2nd Avenue.
 
According to the Victorville Police Department, the incident happened between 2nd Avenue and 3rd Avenue, at about 1:30 AM. A 2005 Jeep was traveling north on Bear Valley Road when it left the roadway and collided with a power pole.
 
Hernandez’s passenger, identified as Taniya Rocha, suffered abrasions and bruising. Emergency responders transported her to a nearby hospital after she complained of pain to her chest.
 
A test determined that Hernandez was operating the vehicle with a blood-alcohol level exceeding the legal limit of .08%. Hernandez was arrested and booked at High Desert Detention Center for driving under the influence, causing bodily injury.
