Jeremy Hembree Arrested in Vehicle Collision on Interstate 35 [New Braunfels, TX]

New Braunfels, TX (May 10, 2023) – On Tuesday, the authorities arrested Jeremy Hembree, a 22-year-old San Antonio man, following a vehicle collision on Interstate 35.

The authorities received reports at about 7:25 a.m. about a Lowry Electrical van being stolen in the 1300 block of Industrial Drive.

Officers tracked the vehicle to the intersection of Interstate 35 and FM 306 and attempted to stop the driver, Hembree, but he declined to stop and drove away at a high rate of speed.

The authorities ended the pursuit near the I-35 and South Seguin Avenue intersection because Hembree was driving erratically and the officers were concerned about the public’s safety.

Minutes later, the van collided with three pickup trucks in a parking lot along the freeway at Seguin Avenue. The driver tried to drive away but the police were able to stop him.

Officers arrested Hembree and booked him into the Comal County Jail for several charges, including unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and evading arrest in a vehicle. Similarly, he was served with multiple active warrants out of Bexar County.

One of the drivers involved in the collision in the parking lot was transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
