Jeremiah Yeagley and Antony Morgan Identified in Deadly Crash on Highway 507 near Yelm
Yelm, WA (December 10, 2018) — Officials have identified the two men who were killed when their pickup truck crashed into a culvert near Yelm early Wednesday morning, November 28.
Thurston County Coroner Gary Warnock confirmed that the driver, 20-year-old Jeremiah Yeagley; and the passenger, 26-year-old Antony Morgan died at the scene. Both are from Yelm, Washington.
According to the Washington State Patrol, Yeagley and Morgan were on board a 1989 Toyota pickup truck on their way to work when they crashed. While northbound on Highway 507 near Vail Road Southeast at about 4:30 a.m. Wednesday, their vehicle veered off the road to the right, struck a cement barrier, and ended up in a culvert full of water.
At around 9 a.m. the same day, a maintenance foreman with Centralia City Light arrived to inspect the canal and noticed that a fence along the road was broken. The pickup truck was discovered when the water level was lowered to see if a vehicle went into the canal. The foreman called 911.
Delays in traffic were experienced in the area for about 30 minutes as crews cleared the scene.
The Washington State Patrol is investigating what caused the accident.
