Jenny Mason Hurt and Ricardo Guttierez Detained in Oroville Bicycle Accident
OROVILLE, CA (May 21, 2019) – A bicyclist sustained injuries while authorities arrested a man in a car and bicycle collision on May 18.
The CHP revealed that the incident occurred about 3:43 a.m. on Highway 162, near Gold Country Casino & Hotel.
29-year-old Ricardo Gutierrez drove a 2004 Audi and struck 30-year-old bicyclist, Jenny Mason. Medical responders took her to the hospital with major injuries.
According to authorities, Gutierrez was intoxicated during the crash. Hence, they arrested him on felony DUI charges.
Meanwhile, authorities did not arrest the 24-year-old passenger, Cody Sheer.
