Stockton College Student Killed in Bicycle Crash on West Lane Frontage Road
Stockton, CA (December 11, 2022) On November 29, 26-year-old Jennifer Ruiz was fatally struck by a vehicle on Castle Oaks Drive.
The Stockton Police Department says that the bicycle crash happened near West Lane Frontage Road.
Authorities say that Ruiz was riding her bicycle to the UEI College campus. Officials say that paramedics transported Ruiz to the hospital, where on December 5, the Stockton mother died.
Moreover, Ruiz left behind 2 children, a 9-year-old and 2-month-old baby.
Additionally, authorities say that the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with officers on the scene.
Furthermore, officials say that UEI College will be hosting a two-day car wash to help raise funds for Ruiz’s family.
Additionally, the carwash will be on in the campus parking lot at 4994 Claremont Avenue on Dec. 13 and 14.
