Austin Waddle Cited for DUI near Northeast 63rd Street
VANCOUVER, WA (May 12, 2018) – A woman and a child were hospitalized Saturday afternoon after a DUI Collision on Interstate 5. The adult victim was identified as 41-year-old Jennifer Bryson while the injured 3-year-old was unidentified.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the collision was reported around 12:20 PM. A 2007 Kia sedan, driven by 20-year-old Austin Waddle of Vancouver, failed to observe traffic was slowing down ahead of him and rear-ended a 2007 Acura sedan driven by Bryson.
The impact pushed the Acura onto the left shoulder, where it slammed into a concrete barrier.
Bryson and a three-year-old child were transported to the Legacy Hospital in Salmon Creek for treatment of their injuries. The other passengers inside Acura, 22-year-old Miah Harrison of Gresham, and 21-year-old Dakota Shorak of Vancouver, were reportedly unharmed. All four were secured in their seatbelts at the time of the collision.
Waddle was cited by the authorities for driving under the influence of alcohol and inattention. No additional information about the collision is available to the public at this time.
