Tucson, AZ (October 28, 2024) – On Monday, 76-year-old Jeffrey Powell died in a crash on West Magee Road.

The collision, which occurred just west of North Oracle Road, led to a temporary closure of westbound Magee for several hours. 

According to a social media post from the Oro Valley Police Department, the crash involving a car and a pedestrian blocked part of Magee Road near Oracle Road on Monday evening. 

As of approximately 5:25 p.m., police announced that westbound Magee would remain closed “for an extended time” to allow traffic investigators to work. 

Authorities have asked drivers to avoid the area during the investigation.
