SR 161 Hit-and-Run Collision Kills 68-Year-Old Pedestrian
Tacoma, WA (September 4, 2023) – On Saturday, 68-year-old Jeffrey Dailey of Graham sustained fatal injuries following a State Route 161 collision.
The traffic collision unfolded at about 9 p.m. near 196th Street Court East.
The authorities handling this case said Dailey was crossing the freeway when he was struck by a southbound driver who left the scene.
Dailey was rushed to St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma where he later succumbed to his injuries.
In the meantime, officers are still trying to identify the driver involved in this collision. The driver faces felony hit-and-run charges.
