Jeffery Ronald Rich Dead in Horrific Motorcycle Crash on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard [Killeen, TX]

1 Person Dead in Killeen Motorcycle Accident on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Hackberry Drive

KILLEEN, TX (July 8, 2024) – Sunday night, Jeffery Ronald Rich died in a horrific motorcycle crash on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 11:36 p.m. at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and Hackberry Drive.

According to the Killeen Police Department’s Traffic Unit, a northbound 2017 Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling at a high rate of speed struck a southbound 2014 GMC cargo van that was turning left from Martin Luther King, Jr Boulevard to Hackberry Drive.

Moreover, Justice of the Peace Nicola James pronounced the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 39-year-old Rich, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed the passenger of the motorcycle to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in critical condition.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that Rich was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Killeen Police Department’s Traffic Unit continued to investigate the crash.
