LUBBOCK, TX (July 31, 2023) – Saturday night, Jeffery Husketh died in a devastating motorcycle crash on FM 2528.

The incident happened at about 9:40 p.m. on FM 2528, around five miles northwest of Lubbock.

According to reports, 29-year-old Collin Creed drove a northbound Jeep Cherokee on FM 2528. Then, he slowed down as he tried to make a U-turn in the road.

Meanwhile, 34-year-old motorcyclist Husketh from Abernathy traveled directly behind the Jeep. Then, he tried to brake and went into a side skid.

As a result, the motorcyclist hit the front portion of the jeep.

Then, responders took him to UMC in Lubbock where he later succumbed to injuries.

Meanwhile, Creed and passenger 25-year-old Namoi McClendon sustained no injuries in the crash.

At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
