Injuries Reported in Sonora Auto Accident on Mono Vista Road and Sunshine Road

 
SONORA, CA (January 5, 2021) – Monday afternoon, Jaynz Kelly suffered injuries in a speeding crash on Mono Vista Road and Sunshine Road.
 
The incident occurred just before 2:00 p.m. on Mono Vista Road and Sunshine Road. According to reports, 33-year-old Alexander Mendenhall of Sonora drove a 2015 Ford Mustang. He traveled east while approaching the Mono Vista and N. Sunshine roads intersection.
 
Apparently, Mendenhall traveled at speeds excess of 80 miles per hour while coming over a hill. At the same time, 71-year-old Murriel Jaynz Kelly of Soulsbyville turned left from Mono Vista Road. She drove her 2016 Subaru Outback onto the highway.
 
Machado said, “Due to Mendenhall’s high rate of speed, the front of his vehicle struck the left side of Kelly’s vehicle. As can be seen in the provided pictures. Kelly suffered minor injuries and was taken by ground ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Mendenhall was not injured. Luckily both the involved drivers were wearing a seatbelt. And drugs and/or alcohol are not determined to be a factor.”
 
The authorities continue to investigate the crash.
