Phoenix, AZ (March 22, 2024) – Early Friday morning, 21-year-old Jaylynn James died in a crash on 35th Avenue and Baseline Road.
Initially, police identified the pedestrian as a man but later corrected this, stating the pedestrian was a woman.
According to officials, James was crossing Baseline Road outside of all marked crosswalks when a car struck her.
The driver of the car showed no signs of impairment.
