1 Person in Custody in Waco Auto Accident on Bosque Boulevard and New Road

WACO, TX (March 21, 2024) – Tuesday night, Jaylon Jerome Marshall was arrested after an alarming vehicle crash on Bosque Boulevard.

The incident happened at around 10:15 p.m. on Bosque Boulevard and New Road.

According to Waco Police Department spokesperson Cierra Shipley, authorities attempted to pull over a vehicle that ran a red light, but to no avail. Then, the suspect vehicle fled the scene at a high rate of speed before colliding with another vehicle after running a second red light at 39th Street.

Moreover, responders transported the suspect to a local hospital with minor head and face injuries. Also, paramedics provide treatment to the driver of the second vehicle at the scene.

Furthermore, authorities confirmed that Marshall is being held on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Waco Police Department continued to investigate the crash.
