17-Year-Old Boy Riding Motorized Bike Hit and Killed by Car in Broadway-Manchester Neighborhood
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 1, 2018) – A boy was killed early Saturday afternoon following a motorized bike accident in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood. The victim was later identified as 17-year-old Jaylen McFrazier.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident took place at about 12:34 PM in the 200 block of West 92nd Street. Jaylen, his brother, and their friend were riding a motorized bike when they were struck by a southbound black Lincoln.
Jaylen sustained fatal injuries, and he was pronounced dead at the scene byresponding paramedics. His 14-year-old brother suffered a broken leg, while their friend was unharmed. The driver of the Lincoln remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the collision and to identify possible contributing factors. It was also noted that the teenagers were not wearing helmets and that motorbikes are not street legal. No additional information has been disclosed to the public at this time.
