Injuries Reported in Fatal Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 5
Arlington, WA (April 03, 2024) On Monday afternoon, 43-year-old Jason Lee of Arlington was killed and 2 others were hurt in a 3-car crash on Interstate 5.
According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the fatal multi-vehicle collision happened at about 1:25 p.m. on northbound I-5 just south of 236th Street Northeast.
Reports say that 3 vehicles were involved in the horrific incident, officials say that Lee’s southbound vehicle collided with another vehicle on the northbound lanes of I-5.
The impact of the collision caused Lee’s vehicle to rotate and crash into another vehicle, ultimately, Lee’s vehicle rolled over on its top.
Medics say that 3 people were transported to Providence Regional Medical Center with injuries caused by the crash. Unfortunately, officials say that Lee ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
WSP is investigating the fatal wrong-way crash and has not released additional information at this time.
