5 Freeway Accident Kills North Hollywood Man Jason Galves Bojorquez

 
Sun Valley, CA (May 07, 2021) – On Thursday, 27-year-old Jason Galves Bojorquez of North Hollywood lost his life in a crash on the 5 Freeway.
 
The Sun Valley crash happened at about 1 a.m. near Sheldon Street on the southbound lanes of the freeway.
 
Officers said a 2003 Lexus IS300 driven at a high rate of speed was unable to maintain in its lane.
 
As a result, its left side struck the right side of a BMW 325i southbound on the freeway in the number 2 lane, before it swerved to the right.
 
Subsequently, the Lexus slammed onto the right shoulder of the freeway, went up an embankment, and overturned.
 
Bojorquez, a passenger in the Lexus, was ejected and died at the scene.
 
On the other hand, the BMW driver, a 39-year-old Beverly Hills man, was not injured in the accident.
 
Meanwhile, officers arrested the Lexus driver, an unidentified 27-year-old North Hollywood woman, on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (DUI). She sustained minor injuries in the accident.
