1 Hospitalized after Canyon Country Crash on Soledad Canyon Road

 
CANYON COUNTRY, CA (November 13, 2020) – Tuesday night, authorities arrested Jason Carpenter in a DUI accident on Soledad Canyon Road.
 
At about 11:50 p.m., the deputies came to Soledad Canyon Road and Prairie Lane.
 
Moreover, they responded after hearing a report of a traffic crash, Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station revealed.
 
“It was indicated that a vehicle collided with a tree,” Arriaga stated.
 
Upon the arrival of the first responders, they found a white Dodge Challenge that had crashed onto the center median. Then, the vehicle crashed into a tree on Soledad Canyon Road.

They also found a male adult standing outside the car, informing responders about his trapped friend.
 
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County Fire Department officials confirmed the trapped person.
 
The firefighters extricated the passenger for over 50 minutes. Then, they took her to the hospital, said the Fire officials.
 
“While conducting pre-standard field sobriety test questions, the deputy observed the suspect was incoherent with his responses,” Arriaga revealed. “The suspect was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation pertaining to his injuries.”
 
The field sobriety tests revealed that the suspect was under the influence of an alcoholic beverage.
 
Thus, authorities arrested 34-year-old Jason Carpenter from Los Angeles for felony DUI as a result of causing injury to another person. Furthermore, Carpenter said that he was a firefighter from an unknown department.
 
Also, the officers detained Jason Carpenter and took him to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station jail with bail set at $115,000.
