26-Year-Old Jason Cahua Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Adams Avenue and Magnolia Street
HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (June 19, 2019) – A man died in a pedestrian accident Wednesday morning on Adams Avenue, just West of Magnolia Street.
The Orange County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jason Cahua, 26 of Huntington Beach. A Ford Ranger pickup truck driven by a 62-year-old Huntington Beach man struck by Ford Ranger pickup truck struck Cahua. As a result, he was found in the road by responding officers shortly after 5:00 a.m.
Cahua was pronounced dead at UC Irvine Medical Center.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene. In addition, he cooperated with the authorities.
Drugs or alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash, police said. In addition, police did not arrest the driver at this time. However, the incident remains under investigation.
