San Antonio, TX (December 19, 2024) Authorities are still searching for the suspect in the tragic hit-and-run crash on highway 281 that killed Jasmine Gill.

According to authorities, the deadly incident happened Thursday, November 7, on Highway 281.

Reports say that the fatal hit-and-run that took the life of Gill near Trinity University. Officials are urging the public to assist in the investigation.

Authorities say that Gill was crossing US Hwy 281 North near the East Mulberry off-ramp, a location prohibited for pedestrians. An SUV struck her, and its driver stopped to help. However, a second vehicle, believed to be a 2020 to 2025 Hyundai Elantra, also hit Gill and fled the scene without rendering aid.

Gill was transported to a hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Investigators have recovered vehicle parts at the scene linked to the suspected Hyundai Elantra.
