Woman Pronounced Dead after Mission Hills Auto Accident on 118 Freeway
MISSION HILLS, CA (March 15, 2020) – Early Saturday morning, a 21-year-old Jasmin Morales, of Los Angleles was killed in a collision on the 118 Freeway.
According to reports, the deadly collision occurred around 12:30 a.m., on April 10. First responders arrived on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway, shortly after.
California Highway Patrol’s reports revealed that Morales was riding in an Uber when for unknown reasons, she began a physical altercation with the driver.
As a result, the Uber driver stopped on the right shoulder of the freeway, and got out of his car. However, Morales instantly took the driver’s seat and attempted to drive away.
The Uber driver then took away the keys from the ignition and made efforts to move Morales out of his car. However, Morales continued the physical altercation with the Uber driver.
When the driver was able to get inside his vehicle, he then drove away.
After being left by the driver, Morales ran into traffic where she was hit by a 2008 Nissan Altima. When authorities arrived, they pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the Uber driver who suffered minor injuries received treatment at the scene.
At this time, an investigation to determine further information remains ongoing.
