9-Year-Old Child Killed in Tragic 3-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 30
Franklin County, TX (July 18, 2023) On Saturday afternoon, 34-year-old Jashadrian Morgan was hurt and a 9-year-old child was killed in a 3-car collision on I-30.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS), the tragic 3-vehicle crash on Interstate 30 happened around 12:30 p.m.
Reports say that Morgan, a Mount Pleasant resident, was slowing down in a traffic lane due to an an emergency vehicle stopped in the shoulder. Officials say that a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado hit Morgan’s vehicle, forcing the vehicle to collide with a 2020 GMC Terrain. The Terrain was also stopped on the shoulder.
Officials say that a 9-year-old child passenger in Morgan’s vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. Meanwhile, Jashadrian Morgan was transported to a hospital, Morgan sustained non-incapacitating injuries.
Authorities say that no one from the Silverado or the Terrain suffered injuries.
