Three People Hospitalized after Multi-Vehicle Crash near Washington Street: Hilda Arroyo, Beau Washington, and Sara Tashakorinia
NAPA, CA (May 19, 2018) – A collision on Saturday evening involving three vehicles killed a man and left three others injured. The victim was identified as 28-year-old Jaryd Anthony Dock.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at 8:50 PM on Highway 29, just north of Washington Street near Carrell Lane.
A northbound 2012 Dodge Avenger, driven by 53-year-old Hilda Arroyo of Angwin, crossed the center line of the highway and sideswiped a southbound 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup truck, driven by 47-year-old Antonio Olivera-Martinez of St Helena. It then collided head-on with a southbound Uber, a 2015 Hyundai Sonata.
Dock, sitting passenger in the Sonata, suffered critical injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 48-year-old Beau Washington of Vacaville, and another passenger, 27-year-old Sara Tashakorinia of San Francisco, sustained major injuries and were transported to Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Arroyo suffered internal injuries and was also taken to Queen for treatment.Olivera-Martinez was reportedly unharmed.
CHP issued a SigAlert at 9:16 PM, temporarily closing all affected lanes for approximately three hours to investigate the cause of the deadly collision.
Dock and Tashakorinia were celebrating their one year wedding anniversary with a late dinner out. They requested an Uber to safely drive him from their hotel to the restaurant, according to Capt Steve Blower of the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.
