North Carolina Motorcyclist Killed in Ferguson After Car Makes Unsafe U-Turn
Ferguson, MO (October 28, 2024) On Sunday morning, 23-year-old Jarawn Jones Wilson was killed in a horrific crash on West Florissant Avenue.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol (MSHP), the fatal collision happened at about 3 a.m. on West Florissant Avenue and Canfield Drive.
Reports say that a motorcyclist from North Carolina lost his life after a car performed an unsafe U-turn in front of him.
Officials identified the victim as Wilson, from the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune area, was traveling north on West Florissant Avenue shortly after 3 a.m. when a Dodge Journey, driven by 29-year-old Robert L. Green of St. Louis, made a U-turn from the adjacent lane just north of Canfield Drive.
Wilson swerved to avoid the vehicle but collided with its left side, resulting in him being ejected from his motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Both Wilson and Green were reportedly using safety equipment at the time of the crash.
