Janice Leslie Injured in Head-On Collision on Highway 108 [Sonora, CA]

Sonora, CA (September 30, 2022) On Friday, 53-year-old, Janice Leslie of Twain Harte suffered injuries in a head-on collision on Highway 108.

Reports say that 87-year-old Michiko Kitchen of Sonora sustained injuries in the 2-vehicle crash that happened around 7:23 a.m. east of the Hess Avenue exit.

CHP says that Kitchen was on a westbound 2008 Ford Escape that crossed over the double yellow lines and struck Janice Leslie’s 2002 Ford Expedition head on.

Authorities say that the impact of the collision sent the SUV off the road and down a ditch. Meanwhile, Michiko Kitchen’s SUV ended up on the highway.

Officials say that impairment did not play a factor in the crash. Moreover, authorities are investigating the incident and have not released additional information at this time.
