Troopers Search for Suspect Driver in McKinney Fatal Crash
McKinney, TX (December 23, 2024) – 14-year-old Jamir Dabney lost his life following a hit-and-run crash on Lake Forest Drive Saturday evening.
It was around 6:14 p.m. when the deadly traffic crash happened at the intersection with Highlands Drive.
Troopers say Jamir Dabney, an Evans Middle School student, was hit while riding his bike and that the car that struck him drove off.
Another vehicle stopped to help Dabney and he was transported to the hospital where he died.
McKinney Police stated the suspect vehicle is a dark 4-door sedan with possible front-end damage and a damaged passenger-side mirror.
The authorities are still working to identify the driver and ask anyone who may have information about the fatal crash to call McKinney Police.
Jamir Dabney’s family said he played on the school’s football team and planned to join ROTC in high school.
