James Walter Davis, Christina Alehia Walker Arrested after Hit-And-Run Crash on 22nd Street and Swan in Tucson
Tucson, AZ (November 9, 2021) – On Monday, a pedestrian, identified as 64-year-old James Walter Davis, who a hit-and-run driver hit in May, died.
Subsequently, police arrested the driver, 23-year-old Christina Alehia Walker, on charges of numerous felonies.
The fatal hit-and-run crash in Tucson happened at around 10 a.m. on May 27, near 22nd Street and Swan.
Police said Davis was trying to cross the intersection from north to south when the traffic light turned from red to green.
Walker turned into the bus lane to pass vehicles that had slowed down for Davis. She drove through the intersection and hit Davis as he approached the curb.
Moreover, she drove off eastbound 22nd Street, hit a speed limit sign, and raised the median before leaving the vehicle.
Further, the Pima County Medical Examiner said Davis died of injuries from the wreck.
The investigation is ongoing, and Walker could face additional charges now that Davis has died.
