Injuries Reported in Los Angeles Pedestrian Accident on Pico Boulevard and Westmoreland Avenue
LOS ANGELES, CA (January 1, 2024) – Friday, James Ramirez suffered injuries in crippling hit-and-run cash on Pico Boulevard and Westmoreland Avenue.
The incident happened at about 6:00 p.m. on Pico Boulevard and Westmoreland Avenue, said the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to reports, 20-year-old Ramirez, who works at a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Culver City, walked across the street to meet up with his friends after work. However, a dark-colored vehicle hit him.
As a result, responders took him to the hospital in serious condition.
“Right now, he’s still on a ventilator and needs assistance breathing,” his mother, Jessica Ramirez said. “He’s still not completely alert. He had to have brain surgery yesterday morning because he was bleeding. My son didn’t deserve to be hit and left on the road like he was trash.”
Moreover, police added that the suspect’s vehicle may be a four-door Dodge Charger and they urged anyone with information about the crash to contact authorities.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
Due to the limited information available, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
