Driver Injured in Kansas City Fatal Crash
Jackson County, MO (August 5, 2024) – James O’Neal, 70, of Bunceton, was killed in a head-on crash on Old Concord Road Saturday evening.
It was about 6 p.m. on August 3 when the fatal two-vehicle crash happened between Concord Church Road and State Highway TT.
Investigators said a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Drew Davis, 25, of Bunceton, was southbound while a 2003 Ford Ranger driven by James O’Neal was northbound on the same road.
Both vehicles were traveling in the center of the roadway and collided a head-on.
The vehicles rested in the roadway and both became engulfed in flames.
The emergency rescuers declared O’Neal deceased at the scene.
Davis incurred serious, but non-life-threatening injuries and declined treatment at the scene.
Troopers said neither of the two drivers was wearing their seatbelt when the accident happened.

Despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models, traffic accident rate continues to increase, rather than decrease.
