2 People Killed in Dallas Auto Accident on Grand Avenue near La Vista Drive

DALLAS, TX (July 2, 2023) – Saturday morning, James Lee Bernard III and an infant died in a tragic single-vehicle crash on Grand Avenue.

The incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the 6400 block of Grand Avenue, near La Vista Drive.

According to Dallas Police, a northbound vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed lost control for still unknown reasons, hit a curb, and crashed into a tree.

Moreover, responders pronounced the vehicle driver, 25-year-old Lee Bernard III, dead at the scene. Then, paramedics rushed a female passenger with serious injuries and an infant to a hospital where the young victim was later pronounced dead.

At this time, the cause of the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the authorities continued to investigate the crash.
