Police Search for Hit-And-Run Driver after Fatal Crash on Battaglia Drive in Arizona City

Arizona City, AZ (September 20, 2023) – Wednesday morning, 29-year-old James Kemp died in a hit-and-run crash on Battaglia Drive.

The fatal hit-and-run crash happened sometime between 5 a.m. and 5:40 a.m. on September 20.

According to the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, Kemp was westbound on Battaglia Drive near Yucatan Road when he was hit. 

He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.

The sheriff’s office says the vehicle description is limited, but deputies believe the suspect was driving a white SUV or pickup truck. 

Investigators are also reviewing area surveillance video.
