62-Year-Old James Jones Struck and Killed on Pacific Coast Highway
Long Beach, CA (January 02, 2021) – On December 22, 62-year-old James Jones of Long Beach was injured in a hit-and-run crash on Pacific Coast Highway.
Officers responded to the scene at about 8:20 a.m. at Harbor Avenue. When they arrived, they found Jones unconscious in the roadway and suffering from serious injuries.
Apparently, a blue Honda Civic failed to yield and struck Jones as he was crossing a marked crosswalk.
The motorist did not stop to help Jones but fled eastbound on Pacific Coast Highway.
Immediately, paramedics took him to an area hospital. Police were notified Thursday that he died at the area hospital.
