James Horlacher Arrested after Crash on Interstate 90 [Kittitas County, WA]

KITTITAS COUNTY, WA (October 29, 2020) – Tuesday, authorities arrested James Horlacher after a crash on Interstate 90in Kittitas County.
 
According to reports, 44-year-old James W. Horlacher collided with another vehicle. The incident happened on Interstate 90 near Lake Keechelus. Afterward, the victim of the hit-and-run followed him to a residential road.
 
Then, James Horlacher crashed his vehicle into a ditch in front of a house. The suspect entered the home where the armed homeowner confronted him and commanded him to leave.
 
Thus, Horlacher escaped and stole the vehicle of the hit-and-run victim that was calling the 911 dispatchers.
 
Eventually, James Horlacher crashed the vehicle into another ditch and fled on foot on Interstate 90.
 
Several 991 reports revealed that the suspect ran around the freeway lanes. Meanwhile, a truck driver parked in the chain-up area reported to 911. The driver reported that the suspect climbed up on his truck and demanded to enter.
 
Afterward, authorities arrested James Horlacher and booked him into the Kittitas County Corrections Center. He received charges on Theft of a Motor Vehicle and Hit and Run.
 
Moreover, the authorities are also investigating him for driving under the influence of drugs pending toxicology results.
