James Haye Injured in Boulder Highway Fatal Collision [Las Vegas, NV]

Las Vegas, NV (June 5, 2023) – On Saturday, 71-year-old man James Haye was injured and a Kia Soul driver died in a Las Vegas multi-vehicle collision.

The Boulder Highway fatal collision unfolded at about 5:19 p.m. in the area of East Russell Road.

According to LVMPD, a white 2010 Kia Soul ran a solid red light at the intersection and collided with a 2022 Kia Stinger traveling on a green light.

Apparently, the left front of the Stinger was hit by the left front of the Soul and both vehicles were redirected southwest.

The Soul then struck a 2007 Lexus GS 450h and a 2021 Toyota Highlander that were stopped in the two left turn lanes of Russell Road while the Stinger struck a 2018 Toyota C-HR stopped in the right turn lane of eastbound Russell Road.

Multiple people riding the Soul got out of the vehicle and fled the scene.

The 25-year-old man driving the Soul was declared dead at the scene.

James Haye who was driving the Stinger sustained minor injuries and was rushed to Sunrise Trauma by ambulance.

The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is investigating the Las Vegas multi-vehicle collision.
