James George Renella Dies after Auto-Pedestrian Crash on East Glenn Street in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (April 12, 2023) –  78-year-old James George Renella died two days after a crash on East Glenn Street.

The fatal crash on East Glenn Street in Tucson happened on March 28.

Tucson Police said Renella was crossing East Glenn Street near North Richey Boulevard when an eastbound Nissan cargo van hit him.

EMS rushed Renella to Banner-University Medical Center when he passed away two days after being hit.

Investigators said the 45-year-old driver of the van stopped and cooperated with police while they investigated the scene.

 TPD said the driver was not impaired.

Further investigation into this crash is ongoing.
