Saxton Ginther Involved in Midland County Fatal Collision
Midland County, TX (April 25, 2023) – On Friday, James Evans, 35, sustained fatal injuries in a Highway 158 pedestrian accident.
The traffic accident took place at about 4:40 a.m. near mile marker 296.
Investigating officers said Evans was walking eastbound on the freeway, when at the same time, Saxton Ginther, 30, was driving a 2019 Ford F-250 same direction on the freeway.
Ginther tried to avoid striking Evans, but Evans was struck by the passenger side mirror.
Responding officers declared Evans dead at the scene.
Officers are investigating the fatal incident.
