James Eble II of Willits Dies in Head-On Crash on SR 20 [Lake County, CA]

Lake County, CA (September 14, 2023) On Wednesday evening, 43-year-old James Eble II died in a head-on crash on SR 20.

According to the CHP, the tragic head-on collision happened at about 7 p.m. on State Route 20, on the east side of Clear Lake.

Reports say that the fatal crash involved the Willits man on a westbound motorcycle and a pickup truck with 2 occupants. Officials say that Eble’s Harley Davidson collided with the eastbound Dodge 5500.

CHP Clear Lake say that both vehicles were partially in the eastbound lane and south shoulder of the road about a mile east of Rosemont Drive. Officials pronounced the motorcycle rider dead at the scene, while, both pickup occupants escaped injuries.

Lake County Coroner’s Office identified James Andrew Eble II as the decedent.
