Car Crashes into Tree on Highway 99 in Fresno Killing the Driver and His Dog
FRESNO, CA (December 4, 2019) – A man was killed along with his dog after a car accident Wednesday morning in Fresno, authorities said.
The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. on Highway 99 at Herndon Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Nissan was traveling southbound in a heavy rain when it lost control. It then spun out and slammed into a tree.
Arriving paramedics transported the driver to a hospital, where the man succumbed to his injuries. A dog inside the car was also killed.
The Fresno County Sheriff’s Office identified the man as James Eagleton, 32, of San Francisco.
Officials did not rule out drugs and/or alcohol as factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
