James Coe of Arizona Killed in Interstate 8 Vehicle Crash [Imperial County, CA]

Imperial County, CA (September 03, 2021) – On Monday, 63-year-old James Coe of Arizona, dies in a vehicle crash on Interstate 8.

The fatal crash took place at about 3:06 p.m. at Ko-Pah Park Road in the Ocotillo area.

Investigating officers said Coe was traveling eastbound when the vehicle overturned. 

However, officers did not say if he was the driver or passenger in the vehicle. Reports said the vehicle caught on fire and a good samaritan called 911 for help. Bystanders got Coe out of the vehicle before arrived.

Right away, they took Coe to UCSD Medical Center in San Diego, where he died about 4:09 p.m. at the hospital’s emergency room.

Meanwhile, the authorities are still investigating the fatal crash.
