44-Year-Old James Chung Arrested in DUI Accident in Seal Beach

 
SEAL BEACH, CA (February 10, 2019) – On Sunday night, a pedestrian was injured in a DUI car crash on Westminster Boulevard. The identity of the victim has not yet been released to the public.
 
According to officers, the incident occurred around 11:30 PM near Seal Beach Boulevard at a Chevron gas station.
 
As per reports, 44-year old James Chung from Huntington Beach lost control of his vehicle. He crashed into a gas pump, hit the victim, and caused an explosion. No other person of vehicle was involved in the collision.
 
Orange County Fire Authority firefighters arrived at the scene. They stated the victim’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. However, he was still transported to nearby hospital.
 
His current medical condition is unclear at this time. In addition, no other injuries were reported in the accident.
 
Law enforcement arrested Chung on suspicion of DUI causing injuries, he is being held without bail.
 
Therefore the surrounding area was closed off for a brief time for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. No further details have been disclosed to the public, as the investigation continues.
