James Cates Dies in Three-Car Crash on 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ (December 24, 2021) – Thursday evening, 55-year-old James Cates died in a three-car crash at 43rd Avenue and Buckeye Road.

The fatal three-car crash in Phoenix happened at around 9:30 p.m. on December 23.

Phoenix Police said Cates who was heading southbound on 43rd Avenue crashed into a white truck that was heading westbound on Buckeye Road.

The impact of the crash then caused the red sedan to then hit a tan vehicle.

EMS took Cates to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

No other information is immediately available.
