1 Dead in Warden Auto Accident on Road U
WARDEN, WA (August 4, 2020) – Monday morning, 55-year-old James Boles died in a semi-truck and motorcycle accident on Road U.
According to reports, James Boles from Kennewick rode his 1999 Harley Davidson, south on Road U Southeast. Then, he attempted to avoid a slow-moving southbound semi-truck carrying potatoes.
As James Boles laid down his bike, it crashed into the left rear wheel of the trailer. Afterward, Boles was ejected from the motorcycle and fell into the path of a Freightliner semi-truck.
As a result, Boles succumbed to fatal injuries.
Meanwhile, the 38-year-old potato truck driver, Oscar Cisneros Leal, didn’t know that Boles crashed into the back of the trailer.
He continued driving south on Road U. Then, he later came back to the scene upon receiving notification, and helped with the investigators.
Furthermore, the Grant County Coroner’s Office took Boles’ body for an autopsy.
Additionally, the investigators stated that Boles’ excessive speeding caused the crash.
Also, the sheriff’s office Motor Traffic Unit handles the ongoing investigation.
