James Ashley Burroughs Hospitalized after Crash on Shaws Flat Road in Sonora
Sonora, CA (January 6, 2022) – Tuesday afternoon, 20-year-old Virginia Rose Hahn and 39-year-old James Ashley Burroughs, both from Sonora, sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Shaws Flat Road.
The two-vehicle crash in Sonora happened at around 4:30 p.m on January 4.
CHP said Hahn was driving her 2006 Volkswagen Jetta northbound on Shaws Flat Road, north of the highway and Burroughs was riding his 2008 Husqvarna motorcycle directly behind her vehicle.
Moreover, while stopped and waiting to make a left turn into a driveway on Shaws Flat Road, Burroughs was unable to stop in time. The front of his bike struck the rear of Hahn’s vehicle.
Burroughs was then ejected from the motorcycle and landed on the east shoulder. He wore his helmet at the time of the incident.
EMS flew him to Doctors Medical Center sustaining serious injuries.
Meanwhile, Hahn sustained minor injuries and aided at the scene.
Police said alcohol and/or drugs were not factors in this crash.
