1 Dead in Contra Costa Accident on 80 Freeway
CONTRA COSTA, CA (July 8, 2020) – Early Sunday morning, 40-year-old resident Jamela Kinard died in a crash on the 80 Freeway.
The crash occurred around 12:20 a.m. on the westbound 80 Freeway, east of Willow Avenue.
According to reports, a Dodge Ram crashed with a Buick Sedan that had parked on the highway. Moreover, the Dodge also hit the driver who stood next to the vehicle.
Furthermore, the truck driver was taken to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek with moderate injuries. At this time, the police are still unsure whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
